Head Coach Genaro Alfaro holds a USSF-D License and Grassroots License. He previously played for the Sac Republic Academy (2014-19) and Sacramento State (2019-2023). Genaro has also coached for MLK Middle School (2024) and with Sac United (2024-25).

Head Coach Andres Marquez hold a USSF-C license and is currently working towards his B license. He has coached with Natomas Rush since 2025, previously having coached for Woodland Soccer Club (Silver to NPL level teams), Davis AYSO, and Davis United. In public schools, he led JV teams to league champions at Ventura High School, Bella Vista High School, and Del Oro High School.

Prior to coaching, Andres played on division championship teams at San Carlos High School (Colombia) and played in the USISL league for the Sacramento Scorpions (1997-98).

Head Coach Elijah Wade has coached high school soccer for 5 seasons. He holds the USSF 11v11 grassroots license and NFHS high school coach level 1 credential. Elijah previously played for Yuba College, Woodland Community College, and the UPSL league (semi-pro). He is also the goalkeeper trainer for Natomas Rush.

Ray has continuously attended Norcal coaching education sessions to expand his knowledge. He also coaches the Freshmen Boys team at Inderkum High School.

Head Coach Mike Marczak has been playing soccer his whole life, originally in Germany, then the USA, and a stint in the Middle East. He's had the privilege to play in Competitive, College, Premier, and Semi-Pro Leagues. He brings a unique international understanding to his training sessions to enhance the development of the players. He has been Coaching with NFA for the past 4 years with the 2010-2006 Girls Teams. His hope is that each player will have a lifelong passion for the wonderful sport of Futbal.

Head Coach Tracy Roberts has coached with NFA since 2019, and previously coached for the Sawyer Youth Soccer Association (6 years), Sawyer (SYSA) Select (8 years), and Ohio Elite Soccer Academy (6 years). He holds a USSF-C license.

Coach Shannon Phillips is a dedicated husband, father, and community leader who has proudly called the Natomas area of Sacramento home for the past 22 years. 

With more than 20 years of coaching experience including 13 years coaching soccer in Natomas, Coach Shannon is passionate about developing young athletes both on and off the field. While he strives to build skilled, competitive players, his greater mission is to help shape confident, respectful, and resilient young men and women. 

Coach Shannon’s love for soccer began at the age of four while growing up in Germany. After moving to California at age 8, he continued his development playing club soccer with Merced United until the age of 17. Those early experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for the sport.

Today, Coach Shannon channels that same passion into every practice, every game, and every interaction with the families he serves. His dedication, integrity, and commitment to youth development make him not only a respected coach, but a valued member of the Natomas community.
